Pursue IQ programs are designed for college students at different stages of their journey, from freshmen starting out to seniors preparing to launch their careers. Each program is tailored to where you are right now:
Build Your Foundation is for freshmen and sophomores who want to get ahead early
Prepare for Your Internship Search is for sophomores and juniors seeking competitive internships
Prepare for Your Job Search is for seniors and recent graduates ready to enter the workforce
If you're a student (or parent of a student) who wants structure, clarity, and a plan, not generic advice, these programs are for you.

Pursue IQ isn't another career advice platform or DIY resource library. Here's what makes it different:
You learn by doing. We don't do it for you. We coach you through building your own resume, cover letter, LinkedIn profile, and search strategy so you can adapt them as you grow.
It's cohort-based. You're not alone. You'll work alongside other Pursuers at the same stage, creating accountability and community.
It's rooted in real recruiting experience. Every strategy comes from 25+ years of recruiting expertise, including a decade at Apple. No fluff, no theory, what actually works.
You walk away with tangible tools, not advice. Every program delivers professional materials and a clear action plan you can use immediately.
-
Life happens. We get it. If you miss a live session, you'll receive a recording so you can catch up on your own time. However, the real value of these programs comes from participating live with your cohort, so we encourage you to attend whenever possible. If you know you'll miss multiple sessions, reach out and we'll figure out the best path forward together.
-
Each Pursue IQ program is a small-group virtual experience where you work alongside other students at the same stage:
Live sessions: We meet via Zoom at scheduled times where I guide you through building your career tools step-by-step
Weekly office hours: You can attend optional office hours each week to get specific questions answered and receive additional support
Cohort-based learning: You'll learn with and from other Pursuers, creating accountability and shared momentum
Personalized coaching: Even though it's a group program, you get individualized feedback on your resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn profile
Action-oriented: Every session includes practical work. You're not listening, you're building.
You'll leave each program with professional materials ready to use and a clear strategy for what comes next.
-
No, the live cohort sessions are for students only. This allows Pursuers to engage openly, build relationships with their peers, and take ownership of their career development. However, we offer weekly Parent Office Hours for families enrolled in any Pursue IQ program. These sessions give you visibility into what your student is learning, guidance on how to support them effectively, and a chance to connect with other parents navigating the same transition.
-
You'll need a computer and access to Zoom, Google Docs, and LinkedIn. All sessions are conducted virtually via Zoom, and you'll be building your professional materials using Google Docs and optimizing your LinkedIn profile throughout the program.
-
Yes. Even though the sessions are working sessions where we build together, you'll have tasks to complete between meetings. This might include adding LinkedIn connections, refining your resume based on feedback, researching companies or opportunities, or completing sections of your cover letter. The work you do between sessions is what makes the program effective.
-
It depends on which program you're in:
Build Your Foundation (Freshmen/Sophomores): Plan to invest 1-2 hours per week outside of live sessions. You're building from scratch, so the work is more foundational and manageable.
Prepare for Your Internship Search (Sophomores/Juniors): Plan to invest 2-3 hours per week outside of live sessions. You'll be refining your materials, researching opportunities, and actively networking.
Prepare for Your Job Search (Seniors/Recent Graduates): Plan to invest 3-5 hours per week outside of live sessions. You're in active search mode, so the work includes applying to positions, networking, and customizing materials for specific opportunities.
The exact time will vary based on where you are in the program and how much you want to accomplish, but every program is designed to fit into a college student's schedule.
Your results depend on your commitment. We've built the platform, system, and tools to make this clear, manageable, and effective, but you have to do the work.
-
If after the first session you feel the program isn't what you expected or isn't the right fit, reach out to me directly. We'll talk through your concerns and find a solution that works for you.
-
That's exactly where many Pursuers start, and it's completely okay. The programs help you clarify your direction while building the foundational tools you'll need no matter what path you choose. You don't need to have it all figured out before you begin.
-
Choose based on where you are academically and what your immediate goal is:
If you're a freshman or sophomore who wants to get ahead early, start with Build Your Foundation
If you're preparing to search for an internship, choose Prepare for Your Internship Search
If you're a senior or recent graduate getting ready to launch your career, choose Prepare for Your Job Search
Still not sure? Reach out and we'll help you figure out the best starting point.
-
Absolutely. Many students start with one program and continue with another as they progress through college. Each program builds on the skills from the previous one while addressing the specific needs of your current stage.
-
International students are welcome in all Pursue IQ programs. The strategies we teach work regardless of where you're from, though some elements (like visa considerations or location-specific job search tactics) may require additional discussion. We'll make sure you have what you need to succeed.
-
No, and you should be skeptical of anyone who does. What I can promise is that you'll have the clarity, tools, and strategy that give you the best possible chance of success. You'll leave with a polished resume, compelling cover letter, optimized LinkedIn profile, and a clear action plan. The rest is up to you, but you won't be guessing your way through it.
-
Students who complete Pursue IQ programs walk away with professional materials that get noticed by recruiters, a clear understanding of how to search strategically, and the confidence to take action. Many land internships and jobs, but more importantly, they know how to navigate the process independently moving forward. This isn't about one outcome. It's about building skills that serve you for your entire career.
-
You'll have everything you need to continue your search independently: polished materials, a clear strategy, and the knowledge to adapt as opportunities arise. However, you're not on your own. You become part of the Pursue IQ community through our LinkedIn group and dedicated social media pages where you can continue to ask questions, share wins, and learn from other Pursuers.
